Decision in Hand

The power to make “decisions” lies in your own hands was the intended communiication of this piece. And contrary to the controversey, the hand depicted is not in fact a rock, but should rather be seen as a hand “en-prime”.
While the actual intent may have been pure, it was seen as a failure of the WRPSS to provide substantive proof that the hand depicted was indeed a ‘hand in prime’ rather than a declaration of the power of Rock. Had the artist not been unwilling to change the layout to remove the word ‘rock’ beside the fist the poster may have been able to succesfully justify the claim.

So, unable to withstand the political pressure from the Scissors and Paper factions within the Society, a compromise was reached and the plug was pulled on the entire campaign.
