If you thought Philadelphia was a big RPS town, well it looks like Calgary is mounting a huge challenge. The World Premiere of Rock Paper Scissors: A Documentary film is now sold out and is the very first film to do so at the Festival. Huge and special thanks to everyone that has purchased a ticket, we really appreciate the support. Hopefully, this will spur on the organizers to arrange a second screening so more people can see it.
We are extraordinary proud of this film as the Director Mike McKeown and production company GoodNProper have created a great story about the triumphs and challenges of keeping an event of this nature alive and the characters that bring so much colour to the sport.
From what we have been told the film trailer is almost complete and once it is available we will be sure to post about where you can see it.
UPDATE: The new film 'Jesse James' which is the Opening Night Gala AND was shot in Alberta AND stars Brad Pitt sold out a little quicker. Fine…whatever RPS The Doc still sold out quicker than all the other Gala films and 'real' festival movies so it is still an amazing achievement.
Also, every film in the festival has about 100 tickets held back for VIP's and rush seating so if you want to line up you can still have a good chance of getting in.
