Running a Tournament

Get your tournament recognized by the World RPS Society

Tournament Play 1

The World RPS Society is dedicated to helping promote Rock Paper Scissors, not only to resolve disputes, but also as a great competitive sporting activity. There are 2 ways to get your tournament recognized by the World RPS Society: Endorsement and Sanctioning.

Endorsed Event: This simply means that you agree to run your tournament according to the World RPS Society  principles and that the WRPSS will recognize your event.
This is a great option for people who want to run an event and want to make sure it is done according to World RPS guidelines. If you choose to go the endorsement route, the WRPSS will not be able provide any organizational assistance.

Sanctioned Event: This is the route to go if you want to offer your champion a seeded (advanced standing) spot in the World Championships. The WRPSS offers a limited amount of seeded spots for sanctioned tournaments. It requires a much bigger commitment of your part, but if your goal is to get your event recognized on the tournament circuit then this is the best option for you to go.
NOTE: As the World Championships are not currently scheduled. We are not accepting requests for sanctioned tournaments at this time.
