Fifth Annual World Rock Paper Scissors Championship to be held in
Toronto on November 11
— $10,000 Championship Prize Money, Competition Open to the General
Public —

TORONTO, ON, October 11, 2006 – Toronto will host the fifth annual
World Rock Paper Scissors Championship, presented by the World Rock
Paper Scissors Society ( on November 11. The
Championship, which will take place at The Steam Whistle Brewery, is a
unique opportunity for any member of the general public to compete
against the highest ranked Rock Paper Scissors players in the world for
a total of $10,000 prize money and to become the World Champion of Rock
Paper Scissors.

"Last year's Championship drew over 750 competitors and spectators from
around the world," said Doug Walker, Events Chairman and Co-Author, The
Official Rock Paper Scissors Strategy Guide. "This year, three national
champions will be traveling from Norway, New Zealand and Australia to
compete alongside competitors from the U.K., Canada and over 16 U.S.

The Championship will take place at The Steam Whistle Brewery, 255
Bremner Blvd, Toronto on November 11, 2006. Tickets can be purchased
via at $40 for competitors and $12 for spectators.
Tickets are limited and we recommend they be purchased in advance.

As the governing body of the sport of Rock Paper Scissors, the World
RPS Society plans and executes tournaments, conferences, symposiums and
retreats across the globe.
